Tourism and Hospitality Studies: S4–S5 Students Complete Career Exploration Internship at Hotel ICON
To broaden students' horizons and deepen their professional knowledge, eight of our S4 and S5 Tourism and Hospitality Studies students participated in a 3-day career exploration internship at the 5-star Hotel ICON from August 12 to 14.
Throughout the program, students gained hands-on insight into hotel operations and professional service standards. Demonstrating outstanding learning attitudes and practical skills, our students earned enthusiastic praise from the hotel's management and mentoring staff.

We are proud to announce that our Secondary 4 student, Keane CHO, has successfully been selected to participate in the highly competitive "Youth Astronaut Training Camp" this summer. Jointly organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the selection process is exceptionally rigorous. Tso outperformed a vast pool of talented applicants across Hong Kong through his outstanding all-round performance and dedication.
The camp will take participants to major aerospace hubs in Mainland China, including Beijing, Jiayuguan, and Xi'an. During this intensive journey, Keane will experience professional astronaut training firsthand and visit key national aerospace facilities. This immersion will allow him to broaden his horizons and gain deeper insights into cutting-edge space science, aligning perfectly with the school's mission to develop students' potential through guidance and inspiration. Notably, this marks the second time a student from our College has attained this prestigious honor, reflecting the high caliber of our students and our ongoing commitment to cultivating well-equipped 21st-century citizens.

On 7 July 2026, the English Debate Team of Po Leung Kuk Mrs. Ma Kam Ming-Cheung Fook Sien College delivered a stellar performance to win the Championship at the 2025–2026 Hong Kong Secondary School Debate Competition Grand Final (New Territories Senior Division 1). Competing against an esteemed opponent, YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College, our debaters demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, persuasive eloquence, and strategic composure throughout the high-stakes match. To cap off this magnificent victory, Livia CHEN (4C) was awarded the Best Speaker award for her outstanding articulateness and sharp rebuttals.

Fundamentals of Innovation and Technology: S1–S2 Students Engage in Immersive VR & AR Learning
To foster technological literacy and empathy among students, our school recently organized an immersive VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) experiential learning session for S1 and S2 students as part of the Fundamentals of Innovation and Technology curriculum.
The program was structured into two core components designed to bridge cutting-edge technology with real-world applications:
Empathy Through VR:
Equipped with VR headsets, students gained a firsthand perspective of how athletes with disabilities participate in sports. This immersive experience allowed students to step into others' shoes, cultivating deep empathy and a stronger commitment to social inclusion.
Interactive AR Workshop:
During the hands-on workshop, students created interactive 3D models to examine how augmented reality integrates into daily life. The session encouraged creative problem-solving and practical engagement with emerging digital tools.

創新科技基礎課程：S1-S2 學生參與 VR 與 AR 體驗學習活動

Competing on an international stage against highly skilled athletes, Emrly demonstrated exceptional grace, technical precision, and composure to secure the 1st Runner-Up in the Open Freestyle Bronze (13-15 Female) division. Organized by the Ice Skating Institute Asia, this prestigious global event represents a significant competitive milestone in junior figure skating.

Fundamentals of Innovation and Technology: S1–S2 Students Engage in Immersive VR & AR Learning
To foster technological literacy and empathy among students, our school recently organized an immersive VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) experiential learning session for S1 and S2 students as part of the Fundamentals of Innovation and Technology curriculum.
The program was structured into two core components designed to bridge cutting-edge technology with real-world applications:
Empathy Through VR:
Equipped with VR headsets, students gained a firsthand perspective of how athletes with disabilities participate in sports. This immersive experience allowed students to step into others' shoes, cultivating deep empathy and a stronger commitment to social inclusion.
Interactive AR Workshop:
During the hands-on workshop, students created interactive 3D models to examine how augmented reality integrates into daily life. The session encouraged creative problem-solving and practical engagement with emerging digital tools.
Our school remains dedicated to advancing STEM and innovative education, empowering students to learn through active exploration—embodying our school year motto: "We grow, then we glow. We glow, and in this light, we grow even further."
創新科技基礎課程：S1-S2 學生參與 VR 與 AR 體驗學習活動
為培養學生的創新科技素養及同理心，本校日前於「創新科技基礎課程」中，為中一及中二級學生舉辦了一場兼具前瞻性與教育意義的 VR（虛擬實境）及 AR（擴增實境）體驗學習活動。
活動透過雙軌形式進行，旨在讓學生了解前沿科技的實際應用：
VR 沉浸式體驗：培養同理心與共融精神
學生戴上 VR 頭戴式裝置，以第一身視角切身感受殘疾運動員參與體育賽事的過程。活動打破了傳統課堂界限，讓學生在體驗創新科技的同時，學習換位思考，深化對社會共融與無障礙環境的理解。
AR 創意工作坊：探索科技與日常生活的連接
在導師指導下，學生於工作坊中動手設計並製作互動式 3D 模型。透過親身操作，學生進一步探索擴增實境技術在日常生活中的多元應用，激發邏輯思維與創作潛能。
本校將繼續推動優質 STEM 與創科教育，讓學生在實踐中學習，正如本學年主題所言：「We grow, then we glow. We glow, and in this light, we grow even further.」
We are proud to announce that our student, S1 Emrly YAO, achieved outstanding success at The 38th Annual Skate Japan 2026, held on 30 June 2026. Competing on an international stage against highly skilled athletes, Emrly demonstrated exceptional grace, technical precision, and composure to secure the 1st Runner-Up in the Open Freestyle Bronze (13-15 Female) division. Organized by the Ice Skating Institute Asia, this prestigious global event represents a significant competitive milestone in junior figure skating.

We are immensely proud to announce that our Secondary 6 student, Vicky Wong, has achieved outstanding success at the Chinese Writing Competition "2025-2026 中國中學生作文大賽（香港賽區）『旭日文學之星』".
Centered on the theme "Imprints", this highly esteemed national competition attracted a massive turnout of 91,001 students from 256 secondary schools across Hong Kong. Standing out among nearly a hundred thousand talented participants, Vicky captivated the judges with her exquisite literary style, profound insights, and exceptional mastery of the written language, clinching two prestigious accolades "Third Class Award (National Level)" and "Silver Award (Hong Kong District — Senior Secondary Section)"
This remarkable recognition is a testament to Vicky’s literary talent, analytical depth, and dedication to writing. We extend our warmest congratulations to Vicky for bringing such great honor to our school community, and we wish her continued inspiration and success on her future literary journey!
