Celebrating Triumph and Teamwork: Highlights from Our 2024-25 Annual Athletic Meet
We are delighted to share the resounding success of our Annual Athletic Meet, held on the 17th and 18th of February, 2025! The event took place under glorious blue skies and was a true celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and community spirit.
This year’s meet provided an incredible platform for our talented students to not only showcase their athletic prowess but also demonstrate their leadership and collaborative skills. Their dedication and teamwork ensured a smoothly run event, creating an atmosphere filled with energy, joy, and excitement.
We were deeply honoured by the presence of our distinguished guests, including Mrs. Winnie Chan, BBS, a member of the Advisory Board of Po Leung Kuk, and our Guest of Honour, Ms. Angel Wong Ka Yan, widely known as the "Queen of Buns." Ms. Wong captivated the audience with her inspiring speech, highlighting the Olympic Motto of striving to be “Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together” while fostering unity and mutual respect. Her legendary achievements at the Cheung Chau Bun Scrambling Competition served as a powerful reminder of the importance of perseverance and determination, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
One of the standout moments of the meet was the 4x100m Invitational Relays, which brought together exceptional athletes from across our community. We were thrilled to welcome the following schools to participate in this exciting event:

2024-2025年度周年運動會圓滿舉行
章中本年度的周年陸運會已於2025年2月17至18日於青衣運動場圓滿舉行！一眾運動健兒在蔚藍的天空下進行精彩刺激的比賽，並展現出章中人追求卓越以及團結的特質。
陸運會能夠順利舉行，除了運動員的積極參與外，亦有賴同學們謹守不同的崗位。透過擔任各類型的工作，他們能發揮自身的領導才能和提升協作能力。
在本次陸運會中，我們更感謝保良局顧問暨本校校董陳黎惠蓮女士 BBS，以及本次的主禮嘉賓——「包山后」黃嘉欣女士，到場鼓勵及頒發獎項予運動員。黃女士在學習攀登的路途上，縱使遇到種種的挑戰，她仍能迎難而上及一一克服。黃女士除了在場分享自己的經歷外，也向同學宣揚奧林匹克格言中所強調「更快、更高、更強 - 更團結」的理念，希望同學能努力實踐。黃女士在長洲包山攀爬比賽中取得的傳奇成就，深刻詮釋了堅毅的重要性，使我們獲益良多。
此外，4x100米友校接力邀請賽乃是本屆陸運會的焦點之一，讓我們匯聚來自不同學校的優秀運動員，互相交流學習。我們非常感謝以下學校的參與：

Wong K.K. (Class of 2024) was awarded the Link University Scholarship 2024. Congratulations! The Link University Scholarship is to recognize the excellent performance of Year 1 students in their performance in different aspects, namely, leadership, presentation and communication capability, achievement and commitment to social service.
Zaman S. (Class 6C) and Wong H.Y. (Class 6D) are awarded the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Prizes for Senior Secondary School Students for their high standard of learning abilities and leadership qualities.
沙田是假日熱門的單車勝地，更是戶外步行的好去處！今年保良局慈善步行將於3月16日舉行，參加者會由沙田馬場出發，步行至沙田公園，全程6公里，並會途徑各個沙田地標。參加者可以一邊打卡，一邊玩遊戲。而步行吉祥物「愛心小保」更會以神秘方式跟大家打氣！
步行除了有益身心之外，更有助減少碳排放，單單這6公里的路程就可以減少1.42公斤的碳排放量；以當日8,000位步行者計算，便足足減少了11,360公斤的碳排放量！誠邀大家行畢全程後，暢玩終點「低碳生活嘉年華」，一起宣揚環保訊息，為保護地球出一分力！
關愛與陪伴，是兒童能夠快樂成長的重要元素。

Numbers of Confidence Votes: 620
Numbers of No-confidence Votes: 185
According to the consultation of the relevant department of the Education Bureau, if the candidate receives more confidence votes than no-confidence votes, the candidate will be nominated for registration as the 12th Alternative Parent Manager. The candidate in this election, Ms. Zhu Yu, Julie, receives more confidence votes than no-confidence votes. Therefore, Ms. Zhu will be nominated for registration as the 12th Alternate Parent Manager. Their term of office is from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2027.
Candidates can appeal in writing within the period of appeal. The period of appeal lasts for one week, from 23 January 2025 (Thursday) to 30 January 2025 (Thursday).

The Po Leung Kuk Mr and Mrs Wu Gee Yee Memorial Education Fund Scholarship Presentation Ceremony celebrated the achievements of nine exceptional students. Recognized for their excellent academic performance or significant improvements in their studies, these students were awarded scholarships to support their future educational journeys. This event not only rewarded hard work but also reinforced the Kuk's commitment to fostering a culture of academic achievement and support for all students.
The Carbon Reduction Action is organised by the Environment and Ecology Bureau, Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC), and ECO DRIVE. The Carbon Reduction Action aims to encourage members of the public, including students, to reduce their carbon footprint. Our school was invited to participate in this event to help move Hong Kong closer to carbon neutrality.
「全民減碳大行動」由環境及生態局和環境運動委員會合辦，以及由 ECO DRIVE 籌辦。 「全民減碳大行動」於11月1 日至11月30日期間展開，旨在鼓勵公眾及學生在日常生活中減碳。本校獲邀參加是次活動，支持環境運動。
